Marketing & branding for public transport is a critical part of the entire public transport service offering.  Innovative and effective marketing influences patronage growth, provides accessible information to system users, leads to behaviour change and promotes safety on the network.  Quality branding is crucial to developing a distinct and unique identity for public transport modes and networks. Join us as we explore different elements of public transport marketing and branding as part of the next UITPANZ Master Class, bringing together experts and practitioners from across the public transport industry.

OBJECTIVES

  • Share best practice, both internationally and locally, in the area of the public transport marketing and branding.
  • Examine different aspects of marketing and branding for public transport, including marketing for patronage growth, providing better information, influencing behaviour change and promoting safety.
  • Provide a forum for exchange between government, operators, suppliers and industry
  • Establish networks and contacts

Programme: 

MASTER CLASS FORMAT

Following our very successful Master Class format developed over a number of years, the Master Class will commence with keynote speakers, focusing on best practice in the area of marketing and branding.  This will be followed by a series of presenters addressing the topics from a range of perspectives, including operator and authority perspectivesThe day will conclude with a facilitated session focusing on identifying best practice principles for marketing practitioners.
